What is v0.8.9r2?

v0.8.9r2 supports NetFPGA hardware table and it contains some additional regression tests.

Bug fixes are included (See Release Notes).

Release Process

The official OpenFlow v0.8.9r2 release code must:

• pass all regression tests (black box and learning switch) on all supported Linux distros (Debian unstable, Ubuntu 8.04, CentOS 5.2) in a VM with virtual Ethernet pairs, for both types (kernel and user-space)
• pass all regression tests with NetFPGA on CentOS 5.2.
• be easily installed by someone with no experience doing it (sanity check)
• run the MobileVMs NOX application succesfully (feature test)

Until all these are done, any v0.8.9 code will be clearly identified as a release candidate.
