Slicing

Yiannis working on getting test results. Hoping to have results later today.

Has been having problems with getting a throttled network connection. Has been trying to set the speed of NICs with ethtool with mixed success. (Some cards fall auto-negotiate to higher rates after config with ethtool.)

Testing Framework

Tatsuya's test framework

Has basic infrastructure set up. Currently has 6 basic tests.

Requests/Queries:

• Run all tests regardless of failure (as opposed to current infrastructure). Done Python test infrastructure allows this.
• Want an example of tests that don't rely on library functions
• Some confusion about constructors for structs from openflow.h
• Simplify methods for getting length

VM test environment/automated testing (Glen)

Currently setting up a series of VMs for running tests on different operating systems

Intention is to plug them into an automated test infrastructure. Planning on TeamCity (http://www.jetbrains.com/teamcity/)

• Have some slicing test results showing sliced traffic distribution (Yiannis)
• Begin/organize review of test framework (David, Guido)
• Need a tee shirt design for OpenFlow 1.0 release. (Glen, Guido, David E)
• Send out e-mail about code reviews and follow up with implementers (Glen)
• Add Done column for NOX in 1.0 status table (Glen)
• Send reminder for NOX features -- fill in ETA column (Glen)
• Add note about kernel implementation in reference tree (Glen)
