NetFPGA Update

• Running on test network since Monday.
• Should we integrate this into master branch for release?
  • Probably
  • Fairly recent branch point; must merge with some test stuff from Glen
  • Bitfile must be included for distribution now (but it was there before)
  • Consider separate NetFPGA repository (Brandon)
  • Check git submodule (Glen)
• Action: Work out master branch merge

Test Framework

• See links from agenda
• Write two tests by next week:
  • Glen: Some of the matching tests
  • Bob: At least one action test (in port)
  • Brandon: An hour to see how it goes
  • Tatsuya: Discuss off line for netfpga
  • David E: TBD

StressNet

• Goals
  • More thorough testing of high port count switches
  • ditto for controllers of the above

• Discussion
  • What is our goal for switch development at Stanford?
  • Lots of traffic or lots of flow ins? (Brandon)
    • Definitely flow ins, but also
      • Packets that cause the controller to fwd or take other actions
      • Some amount of linerate testing
