Reference Implementation v0.1

A (pre-alpha) reference implementation of the OpenFlow V 0.2 Switch Specification has been released in the downloads directory. The code includes a Linux kernel module which functions as an OpenFlow datapath, a secure channel implementation and a sample switch controller. The reference code is pre-alpha and is intended for alpha users only. Please refer to the distribution documentation for details on supported features.

OpenFlow Standard v0.2 and Whitepaper

The Consortium has published a Whitepaper and Version 0.2 (Draft) of the OpenFlow Switch Specification. This version is for public comment only, and should not be used to build an OpenFlow Switch. Version 1.0 will be the first version suitable for building an OpenFlow Switch, and is scheduled for publication in early 2008.
